 Watch Movie  		Jack Ross, Tampa Jewish Federation
After meeting with Mayor Zilker and Dina bar Ulfan at the municipality, Mr. Jack Ross of Tampa, Florida, toured the AMC site. Mr. Ross, whose lovely and talented wife is a physician who was born in Ashdod, is leading a Tampa-Ashdod Sister Cities Mission to Israel in January. In preparation for the mission, Jack met with Professor Shasha and received a detailed outline of the plans for AMC.

In November, Professor Shasha will lecture the Tampa Federation Maimonides Club and be the Guest of Honor at a cocktail to benefit AMC. All of us at AMC are looking forward to hosting the Tampa-Ashdod Sister City Mission in the winter.

Dr. Gruss Lipper of Cornell Medical Center visits site
Dr. Evelyn Gruss-Lipper, of Cornell Medical Center visited AMC on September 4. Dr. Lipper was hosted by Professor Shasha, the Medical Adviser to the project, who explained the goals and vision of the Center. A lively discussion ensued between the two doctors who then toured the site together.

 		Dr. David Krasner of the Dyna and Fala Weinstock Trust visits the AMC site
Dr. and Mrs. David Krasner of London, visited the AMC site in Ashdod on Monday morning, August 20,2007.  Dr. Krasner is a trustee of the Fala and Dyna Weinstock Charitable Trust in London, which is the sponsor for the Emergency Room at the Ashdod Medical Center.

The Krasners were impressed with the rapid progress of the construction and will bring a full report to the trustees of the Weinstock Trust upon their return to England.  The Weinstock Trust’s brief is to fund worthy medical projects, mainly in Israel.  Other major projects they have sponsored include major departments in Shaarei Tzedek, Haddasah and Laniado.  The Ashdod Emergency Medical Center is proud and honored to be chosen as one of the Weinstock Trust’s projects.

 		Benefit Dinner in Juan les Pins
On the evening of  July 12, 2007, Gilly and Max Moryoussef of Manchester, England hosted a beautiful evening on behalf of the Ashdod Medical Center in the garden of their home in southern France. The Moryoussefs, dear friends of the Ashdod Medical Center, hosted a memorable and beautiful event.  Indeed, the evening was unique in the warmth and camaraderie exuded by everyone in attendance.
Ambassador Dan Gillerman, the Permanent Representative of Israel to the UN was the dynamic guest speaker. The assembled were riveted by his skillful delivery.   MK Benjamin Netanyahu satellite conferenced with the guests, speaking of the importance and need for the Medical Center and answering questions posed to him regarding various issues affecting Israel.  All left the dinner with a deep understanding of the crucial importance of the Ashdod Medical Center and with a strong commitment to making the Ashdod Medical Center Cardiology Department a reality.
