On Friday, March 7, 2008, the entire Shabbaton group accompanied by Sir Jonathan Sacks, made their way to the AMC site, in order to see for themselves the project they so generously donated their time and voices to.  An impromptu performance was held in the building itself.  Our guests enjoyed an on site reception before making their way to Herzliya for Shabbat.  The Shabbaton Choir and the Sir Jonathan Sacks, Chief Rabbi of England and the Commonwealth, were here in Israel as part of their "Solidarity through Song" mission in the Southern part of the country.  The group also visited Sderot and Ashkelon.

Ascent to Snowdon
Mount Snowdon lies at an altitude of 1,085 m (3,560 ft) above sea level. As the highest peak in Wales, Snowdon is one of three mountains climbed as part of the National Three Peaks Challenge. Recently, a group of ten intrepid climbers led by Rabbi Gershon Finesilver and joined by Alex Moeller scaled Mount Snowdon in their quest to accomplish the National Three Peaks Challenge. The climbers belong to a group which combines Science activities with Torah study. Their climb-a-thon was sponsored and all proceeds of the Snowdon journey were donated to the Ashdod Medical Center fund.
