Orthopedic Operating Rooms
Ashdod is an industrial city and major seaport that copes with an average of twenty-five work-related accidents each week. While prevention is stressed, there is a critical need for emergency medical care in close proximity to these work sites.

The specter of terror attacks - which unfortunately have become more sophisticated worldwide in recent years - has also raised its ugly head. In March 2004 two terrorists blew themselves up in Ashdod. One penetrated the port itself, and one damaged a facility outside the enclosed port area. Though the bombers did not attain their objective of reaching the toxic materials stores in the port area, they managed to kill eleven people and injure twenty more. Contingency planning and accessible facilities for emergency medical care are life-saving imperatives.

The Ashdod Emergency Medical Center will include orthopedic operating rooms that will be equipped with the most advanced technology and the latest medical operating tables.
